Convocation Wednesday

Don't forget that all Preston residents are required to attend the Preston Convocation on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 7:30-9:00 p.m.  in the Currell College auditorium. This is a mandatory meeting (or as Nayland prefers to say, ‘fundatory’). That means if you don’t have the sort of excuse that can apply toward missing PDining, we expect you to attend and have fun. This will be our only group meeting this semester, and a good time will be had by all. So mark your calendars, bring some friends, and get there early.

You will meet most of the Preston Leadership team. Don Greiner, the Godfather of Preston, will entertain us with a lively account of the founding of Preston Residential College. You will learn all about Preston’s fabulous Spring Break Jamaica trip from those who participated in last year’s inaugural adventure, including the instructor and trip leader, Photo Journalism professor Keith Kenney. Freshmen and other newcomers will learn about the ways you can begin to serve the community right now in your very first semester. Those who graduated last year left some very big holes that we need you to help to fill. And at the end, you will have the opportunity to ask questions or make observations.

Lots of our Faculty Associates will be in attendance as well. Be sure to take the opportunity to talk with them before and after the meeting!

We look forward to seeing you all there!
